This is the traditional method of hand laying (Hand Lay-Up). Individual layers of fibreglass mat are placed in the mould sprayed or painted with a gel coat, which the resins then gradually penetrate. The resins are applied using rollers. The layers are then worked on with undesirable irregularities being pressed out, and the part then left to harden in the mould.
Hand lamination is suitable for small series production, products with complex shapes and prototype parts.
